War of Wits Event

  • Event Time: 14 days
  • Rewards: 3 Normal Summon Scroll every day. Rewards are given after you participate the first battle (no matter you win or lose).
  • The leaderboard is present but there is no rewards for top players.
  • You get more trophies when defeating the enemies with higher trophies than youres.

War of Wits Heroes

There are 20 heroes in total here. 5 from each faction as shown below. and those 5 have different classes.

The hero pool is limited so don’t take a hero and just hoping another hero that can pair well with it showing up.

There is no hero from special faction like Celestial/Hypogean/Dimensional faction here.

War of Wits Relics

Relics are an important part of the match because, if you’re done picking your heroes and the choices don’t have heroes you can use to level up, all you need to do is either get relics that counter your enemies, counter pick your opponent so that the opponent can’t level up his/her cards or get relics that work against your team.

Like heroes, relics become more effective when leveled up.

Be sure of the relic’s details before selecting it.

There are relics that:

  1. Reduces energy recovery rate of low leveled enemies.: You might have ignored the low” part and just read “reduces energy recovery rate”. If you tap on the relic and see it’s details, you’ll came to know that “low” means Ivl 3 or lower. (Don’t know why “or lower” is even there because 3 is the lowest level) Now that you know, it is very unlikely for enemy to use Iv! 3 heroes in their formation, even if they pick the heroes except for some specific ones like Lorsan, Lyca, etc. So, this relic is useless most of the times.
  2. High leveled allies grow stronger.: Here high leveled allies refers to level 7 or higher. So, unless you have heroes level 7 or higher it is useless. The first time I played I expected WI 6 to be high as well without reading the description as well.

Class Union Bonuses

Mage Allied Mage heroes recover 150 energy points at the start of the battle. Allied Mage heroes recover 250 energy points at the start of the battle.
Warrior When warrior class heroes use their ultimate for the first time, attack rating is increased by 20% and life leech by 15 points until the end of the battle. When warrior class heroes use their ultimate for the first time, attack rating is increased by 30% and life leech by 20 points until the end of The battle.
Ranger If an allied ranger hero deals damage to an enemy within 5 seconds prior to their death, hero shall have their haste increased by 70 points for 4 seconds. If an allied ranger hero deals damage to an enemy within 5 seconds prior to their death, hero shall have their haste increased by 120 points for 5 seconds.
Support After 8 seconds of battle, every support hero present in the battlefield will heal the most injured ally by 15% of their own health value. After 8 seconds of battle, every support hero present M the battlefield will heal the most injured ally by 25% of their own health value.
Tank For every allied tank hero in the formation, all allies will gain a shield worth 15% of each tank hero’s own health value at the start of the battle which lasts for 10 seconds. For every allied tank hero in the formation, all allies will gain a shield worth 15% of each tank hero’s own health value at the start of the battle which lasts for 10 seconds.

Some Important Tips for War of Wits

Union Bonuses

The factional bonuses or class bonuses are dependent on the heroes in your deck and not your formation. Some examples to clarify:

  1. You have 4 might heroes in your deck but choose to put only 2 in your formation. Are the effects lost? No. Both the heroes gain the attack rating and life leech. It is the some with mage and celerity.
  2. You have 4 tank heroes but put 3 in formation. All your allies receive a shield equal to the sum of 25% of total HP of the 3 tanks. Here the effect is based on the number of tanks in formation, you won’t get a shield equal to 25% of max hp of tanks outside your formation, but the percent still remains 25% as the effect of 4/4 tank union. It is the same with support class.

Heroes only have 2 skills so look at them before selecting.

Like Lorsan has the link, but not the eye. One among the two skills is an ultimate, but some heroes’ ultimate is also different. For e.g. Thoran deals damage to an enemy using “Domination” instead of using his regular ultimate ability.

Heroes don’t have their SI or Furniture abilities.
